In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon has farmed this nursery and Roly Boy appears to be the pick of his three strong challenge; stablemates aside, dangers should include Talking Hands and Ridgeway Silver. The selection is the preferred mount of Richard Hughes who has also been aboard Heliodor for that one's three runs in maidens. The Dansili colt finished last of four here on debut but ran a fine race in the Woodcote Stakes before winning his maiden at Kempton. The drop back in trip and return to racing on turf will suit and he should go close. Neither Heliodor nor Rich Red are forlorn hopes as both have bits of form that gives them claims whilst Klynch is a little more exposed but could improve for his first attempt at six. Rio Royale made hard work of winning a maiden last time and is opposable but Ridgeway Silver made the most of her light weight to win a competitive nursery at Salisbury and has leading claims from just a 5lb higher mark. Talking Hands is sure to be popular having run Predict close on his penultimate start but we fancy ROLY BOY to silence him this afternoon.
