Verdict

EMERGING ARTIST isn't done with yet and now dropped back in distance another win beckons. It's another Mark Johnston gelding on a card which the trainer could dominate and this son of Dubai Destination was far from disgraced at Goodwood behind Martyr. This trip looks more his cup of tea and although a drop of rain wouldn't go amiss he must run well. Shades are tried on top-weight Hatton Flight following two lacklustre runs this year, fellow course and distance winner Macarthur is classy and now dangerously well-handicapped, whilst Submariner has a little to prove over this trip still. Granston's beating of Bergonzi at Catterick has been franked twice since by the winner, but he is probably opposable along with Strategic Mount (tongue-tie back on today) and Yorgunnabelucky who was given the run of the race at Pontefract on Wednesday.
