Verdict

A tough renewal but ANTONY is only 4lb higher than when beating Junction Fourteen almost five lengths in this last year and needed the run when third behind Go Conquer at Fontwell. The latter is 7lb higher here but his winning form has been franked. Those at the head of the handicap, including Art Mauresque and The Young Master, are talented but run more bad races than good nowadays. Ultragold looks a better bet than stablemate Fourth Act but is better over shorter trips. Dark Flame and Emerging Force could be worth following this season but Braqueur D'or has gone up another 10lb since Ludlow and is up against some smart handicappers today. Thomas Brown goes well fresh so could be the pick of the remainder.
