    Verdict

A nightmare of a race in which the Freddy Kruger might be Jaboune ahead of Gimmick, Visibility and Albuhera. The selection drops back from chasing but his fifth in last season's Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle reads well and gives him good claims. Jonjo O'Neill, who is having such a good season, sends out Gimmick, who looks to have scope for improvement following his Wetherby win. He'll need to because, on face value, that will not be good enough to land this valuable event. Martin Pipe runs Visibility and the Nicholashayne handler has always to be respected in events like this. Albuhera is improving at a rate of knots and, despite the fact that he is only a novice, was pretty tough on the Flat, so he too has claims. Brooklyn's Gold has had a couple of eyecatching spins on the flat and looks to have been trained with this in mind, but he is just one of a number who will fancy their chances in this good event. For us though, it's Jaboune.
