With the possibility that Eurotrek may "bounce", Baron Windrush gets the vote to make amends for a couple of disappointing efforts and is preferred to Joes Edge and Jack Martin. The last mentioned was well held on his reappearance at Market Rasen on Thursday and is difficult to recommend on that evidence. Joes Edge did nothing wrong when making a winning chasing debut at Ayr earlier this month on his return to action and has to be respected representing the in-form yard of Ferdy Murphy. A bigger threat may come from Eurotrek, who looked useful when scoring at Market Rasen two weeks ago but it is surprising that the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding is turned out again so quickly having been off since January 2002 previously. The vote then goes to Baron Windrush. The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained gelding made a successful debut when beating subsequent winner Limerick Leader by 18 lengths. The son of Alderbrook has twice unseated Carl Llewellyn since then and there are reservations about his jumping but Baron Windrush has the potential to be useful over fences and is preferred to Eurotrek.
