Verdict

The Big Breakaway is a strong stayer and a pound lower than when runner-up in last season’s Welsh Grand National. But he fell heavily at the second over these fences in the Grand National in April and that may have left a mark. Celebre D'Allen only won a veterans’ race on the Mildmay course here in October but did complete in the Topham over these fences in April. Highland Hunter ran well at Kelso after a very long absence and Coko Beach won the hugely-competitive Troytown at Navan last month, though was pulled up in the Grand National last season. Harry Skelton gave ASHTOWN LAD a superb ride to land this 12 months ago and his mount is 4lb better off with third Percussion today. The nine-year-old has failed to perform the last twice but will have been readied for this. Lounge Lizard will probably be held up to get the trip but could figure if lasting home.
