In depth

Verdict

Moon Over Germany is 12lb higher than when landing this two years ago but he’s had a light campaign and Jordan Gainford is good value for his 7lb claim. There are several front-runners in this so the pace will be strong. Editeur Du Gite, Joke Dancer and Billingsley will be up with the pace but possible sitting ducks for some strong travellers who can tuck in behind. ON THE SLOPES led over the last in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham and can race off the same mark here. If it’s confirmed that wind surgery has had the desired effect, he might be the one to beat getting 9lb from Doncaster winner Getaway Trump. Frero Banbou went up 13lb for winning in a canter at Sandown but looks to be on a steep upward curve while Grey Diamond had plenty in hand when outpointing Dostal Phil at the same track.
