Adams keen to kickstart career

Nicky Adams believes his move from Brentford to Rochdale can breath new life into his football career.

The winger failed to settle in west London since signing from Leicester and last week agreed a loan deal at Spotland which will be made permanent in January. Adams made his Dale debut at Bristol Rovers on Saturday and says the move will get him back on track after his short two-month spell at Griffin Park. He said: "I'm disappointed that things didn't work out better as it took a long while to get the deal going in the first place. "When I eventually got down to Brentford it was a bit stop-start which was disappointing for me and meant that the supporters didn't see the best of me. "After a conversation with the manager we mutually agreed that a move was probably best for all concerned. I have a young family and all I want now is stability."
