Rusev learnt on Smackdown that he will get a United States Title rematch against John Cena at Extreme Rules.

The Bulgarian Brute lost his championship to Cena at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday night after suffering his first pinfall defeat since joining WWE’s main roster in early 2014.

However, Cena, who successfully came through his first title defence against Dean Ambrose on Raw, revealed on Thursday that he would give The Super Athlete a chance to win back the belt on April 26.

Seth Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the same evening, though the identity of his opponent remains a mystery following Brock Lesnar’s indefinite suspension for attacking Michael Cole and a cameraman on Raw.

Randy Orton, who beat Rollins at WrestleMania prior to The Aerialist cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, put his name into the mix by securing a disqualification victory over Big Show, the match coming to a swift end when Kane attacked The Viper.

However, Roman Reigns later explained that he is targeting Rollins after his ex-Shield stablemate prevented him from winning sport entertainment’s top prize at The Show of Shows.

Dean Ambrose has had quite a journey on his road to WrestleMania, and part of it involved climbing a mountain in Las Vegas...!

Elsewhere, Ambrose’s singles clash with Luke Harper ended in a no-contest when he was powerbombed through the announce desk by his bearded opponent, while The Bella Twins provided commentary as Naomi beat Natalya in Divas action.

Sheamus, meanwhile, won his return match on the blue brand, knocking off Daniel Bryan via count-out after the Intercontinental Champion had been Bull Hammered by Bad News Barrett.

Plus, Damien Mizdow sucker-punched his former friend The Miz with a Skull-Crushing Finale following The Awesome One’s quick-fire victory over R-Truth with the same manoeuvre.
