Both Watson and Robson showed their obvious potential at junior level, winning the US Open and Wimbledon respectively.
"It's a very tough transition to make from the juniors to the seniors," Watson admitted. "Few are able to make that transition, so I'm please I was able to do it so quickly.
"After winning the junior grand slam title I expected a lot of myself and to be able to do well on the tour.
"To get this first title under my belt is great for me; it will motivate me going into the new year."
