Tursunov also boosts Wimbledon hopes by winning men's final

Roberta Vinci came from a set down to beat Jelena Dokic in the final of the Unicef Open in Den Bosch. The Italian, ranked 30th in the world, overcame Dokic 6-7 (7-9) 6-3 7-5 to win the grass-court event in Holland. The hard-fought victory over Dokic, ranked 59, gave Vinci her fifth WTA Tour title - and her first on grass. "Now I'm on my way to Wimbledon," she said. "I'm a little tired after this week, but that's OK, you know: I won." Dokic had two set points before clinching the first set in a tie-breaker, but Vinci held serve throughout the second and capitalised on a single break point to draw level. Dokic cancelled out a Vinci break in the deciding set before Vinci went 40-0 up at 6-5. Although she surrendered three points in a row, Vinci finally held on to secure the win. Dokic attributed her loss to Vinci's good back-court play and the blustery wind. "That's the way things go sometimes," said the Australian. "I'm happy to have reached this far, and I'm looking forward to Wimbledon." Vinci is seeded 29th for the Championships, which start on Monday, and has been drawn against Russia's Vera Dushevina in the first round. Dokic must face sixth seed Francesca Schiavone.

Unseeded winner

Dmitry Tursunov later eased to a 6-3, 6-2 win over fourth seed Ivan Dodig in the men's final to claim his first title since June 2009. The unseeded Russian, ranked 70 in the world, broke to lead 3-1 before closing out the opening set. Rain saw the second suspended at 2-2 and after a 75-minute stoppage, Tursunov romped through the final four games in just 16 minutes. Tursunov will play Latvia's Ernests Gulbis in the first round at Wimbledon while Dodig, ranked 42, faces a qualifier.
