Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic is bidding for his first ATP tour title in Saturday's AEGON final having knocked out Fabrice Santoro in Eastbourne.
Dancevic, 24, continued his impressive run in the tournament beating Santoro - 12 years his senior - 6-4 6-4.
Having already won two qualifying matches before seeing off top seed Igor Andreev, the Canadian has wowed spectators at the Queens Club.
Fighting off an admirable rearguard action in the opening set and staving off five break points, he claimed one of three opportunites that came his way to seal the first set 6-4.
He needed only one other solitary break in the second set to clinch victory against the veteran Frenchman.
Admitting he has exceeded his own expectations, he said: "I just tried to get a few matches in before Wimbledon and ended up getting some confidence and reached the final.
"I've had an awesome time this week."
Dancevic nevertheless faces a difficult task in Saturday's final when he faces second seed Dmitry Tursunov.
The world number 27 was an easy 6-2 6-2 winner over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, the eighth seed, in just 70 minutes in Friday's second semi.
