Rafael Nadal is still not sure if he will be fit to compete at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London on November 9.
The world No 3, speaking at a promotional event in France, has been suffering with appendicitis and is currently on a course of antibiotics in an attempt to delay surgery until after the season finale next month.
Nadal revealed he was suffering with the problem before losing in the first round to Feliciano Lopez at the Shanghai Masters last week. The Spaniard is currently managing it with antibiotics rather than having surgery which would require a recovery period of around four weeks.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, the 14-time grand slam champion said: "I am sad because I didn't have the chance to compete, I was in a big process of antibiotics for a week-and-a-half and the body goes down, you need time to recover to get your top physical performance.
"I have had weeks of injury so it was not an easy season for me at the end, I have to do the surgery but I have to find the right moment.
"I need to see how things go and how my body accepts the antibiotics, so after all the things that have happened over the last few weeks - lets see.
"I will try to do my best (to be in London) but I cannot say, I do not know a hundred per cent."
