Nick Kyrgios has split from coach Simon Rea less than a fortnight after making his big breakthrough at Wimbledon.
The Australian teenager, who beat Rafael Nadal on his way to the quarter-finals of the season's third grand slam, has been with New Zealander Rea since winning the 2013 Australian Open junior singles title.
Kyrgios will now be looked after by Davis Cup coach Josh Eagle and Canberra-based academy coach Todd Larkham, with Tennis Australia retaining a heavy influence on the prodigy's development.
"My desire to be at home more in Canberra, when I am not at tournaments, has driven me to make the decision for change within my team,' Kyrgios said.
"Not only is Simon a great coach but he is a great person and I wish him all the best in the next phase of his coaching career."
Kyrgios, who is now ranked 66th in the world, will be back in action in the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto next month.
