  27. Image: The men's final once again took place on a Monday, where Nadal and Djokovic contested a sixth final of the year.
  28. Image: And it was the Serb who continued his dominance over the Spaniard, lifting his maiden US Open title courtesy of a stunning 6-2 6-4 6-7(3-7) 6-1 success.
  29. Image: After reaching at least the semi-finals of all four majors, Murray then enjoyed a fruitful Asian swing with titles in Bangkok, Tokyo (pictured) & Shanghai.
