Verdict

Lightning Cloud and Rex Imperator have both won valuable handicaps this summer. The latter should stay this extra furlong and could handle the ground better than the former. Sirius Prospect won over course and distance last month and wasn't far behind Es Que Love on much worse terms at Goodwood subsequently so has a chance if getting away on terms but the jury is out on Fort Bastion and Switcher at present. GLORY AWAITS deserves to pick up a decent prize after this year's exploits and he had Cristoforo Colombo behind when second to Dawn Approach in the 2000 Guineas. Highly tried since, this looks his chance to shine.
