        Verdict

        LORD DEEVERT ran much better than his finishing position suggests when sixth to Stargazing over C&D last month. He was still in the lead a furlong out on that occasion and was beaten only a couple of lengths with Naledi well behind. Bill Turner's charge gets a tentative vote ahead of Bestowed, who has the past form to figure if back to his best. Petomic has proved better on turf so far, but King Of Connacht has finally dropped to a lower mark than when last winning here in 2009 and may do better as a result.
