    In depth

    Verdict

Knight Of Noir is obviously of real interest as he makes his hurdling debut after a winning effort in point-to-point company and a promising second to Ulzana's Raid on his sole bumper outing at Towcester in May. It would be no surprise were he to be good enough and the market should prove informative. However, he lacks a recent run whereas LUMPYS GOLD was a useful second at Exeter on his seasonal reappearance last month and is awarded the vote with fitness assured. He should also come on a bundle for that promising effort on his hurdling debut and stamina is also guaranteed. Anything that Emma Lavelle sends to post needs to be taken very seriously at present so Swallowshide is one to take note of after revealing some potential when third to Gone Too Far in a Kempton bumper last May.
