Verdict

Some progressive mares line up here and finding the winner won't be easy. Utopie Des Bordes, a Grade 1 winner in France a year ago, heads the weights having run well in strong company last season. Call Me A Star was placed twice in Listed company last term while As I Am is chasing a five-timer, though is now upped in class. Tara Rose has been chasing but Mrs Peachey could figure if handling the better grade and Loyaute caught the eye at Stratford until lack of condition told. She's preferred to Emerald Rose and Blase Chevalier, who are both racing from out of the handicap. HIGHLAND RETREAT lacks a recent run but goes well fresh and wouldn't need to improve much on her form last season to get involved. Harry Fry's six-year-old gets a tentative vote ahead of the more exposed Emily's Flyer and Jean Fleming.
