Verdict

Vide Cave won a minor contest in the French provinces in May but that means he carries a penalty in this on his first start for Paul Nicholls and is conceding 7lb to OSCAR ROCK. Malcolm Jefferson's five-year-old looked a very smart prospect in bumpers last season, winning a Listed race at Newbury in February, and can make a winning start to his hurdles career. Sealous Scout, Zermatt and Run Ructions Run were also bumper winners last season and are worth following while Straidnahanna won a maiden point-to-point in Ireland in April, though may find a few of these too speedy.
