In depth

Verdict

Jackie Kiely isn't one to take too short a price about so we'll go with MURRUMBIDGEE ahead of Dr McFab. Support would be necessary to side with the last named but Tor Sturgis has booked Richard Hughes and fitted the gelding with cheekpieces and that may help him to recapture his best form. Jackie Kiely's recent performances haven't been far away from some of his best performances and he just needs a change in luck as much as anything else to gain yet another success. Murrumbidgee has only won once but he's found just one too good on both visits here and is weighted to go well. He ran well on his seasonal return which was his first run for a new yard and he's fancied to build on that performance. Bianca Capello and Stateside may prove capable of better yet, Barbirolli may be able to add to his good track record but it's to Murrumbidgee that we turn.
