In depth

Verdict

The biggest field of the day contest the Conditional Jockeys' Novices' Handicap Hurdle that ends the card where DANISH MONARCH has our confidence ahead of Fast Fred and Magpie. Having just been headed off this mark in a similar race last time the selection is entitled to go well again and with this looking easier should go one better. Fast Fred doesn't always finish his races but showed what he can do when he does by running a close second when really well weighted last time. He'll have an extra seven pounds to carry here but if reproducing his latest effort he should be back in the prizes. Magpie is effectively five pounds better off then when missing out by just under a length last time to a subsequent winner so needs to be on any shortlist as should Mysterious World, who is racing under a competitive mark. A good competitive end to the day where Danish Monarch should be crowned the winner.
