Verdict

LAUDATORY, a decent handicapper on the Flat for Walter Swinburn, has improved with experience over hurdles. He got off the mark over timber at Towcester in May and is fancied to defy his penalty here. Midnight King was second at Fontwell two outings ago but that was his only decent performance so far over hurdles and Point Blank is probably a more interesting long-term prospect having finished third at Worcester last month. Dunshane was third at Stratford on only his second start under Rules but the others have little to recommend them.
