In depth

Verdict

OUTLAW PETE ran poorly on his return to action at Gowran on Saturday but that was his first start since scoring on heavy ground at Punchestown in April and a chance is taken that last week's run will have put him straight for this. Romanesco won over hurdles at Perth last time but has no problems jumping fences and will like the testing ground. He's definitely on the short-list as is Bangonform, who was unlucky to be brought down at Galway before a decent effort over timber on very heavy ground at Listowel. Fairwood Massini reverts to fences after a spell hurdling and should do better as his best run came when runner-up over the C&D in April.
