Verdict

PHIL'S MAGIC made a very promising debut over hurdles at Kilbeggan so it was surprising to see him in a Killarney bumper last month but he only just failed to hold off Brother Bennett. With normal progress expected he can go one better. Work Du Breteau was around 9l behind in third in that latter race and, as that was his racecourse debut, he should get closer. Milestone will improve from his debut at Punchestown and looks best of the remainder with experience while Swansea Mile, who is by Dylan Thomas out of a triple 1m2f winner on the Flat, looks best of the newcomers.
