Verdict

Captain Dancer, twice a winner for Barry Hills in the UK, loves soft ground and can go well on his hurding debut as can Deep Determination despite being well beaten when runner-up in a Listowel bumper last time. Spot Fine started favourite in a big field of bumpers at Gowran a year ago and ran well enough to suggest this jumps-bred son of Kayf Tara can make a hurdler but MICKELSON looks the one to be on. Noel Meade's charge began his career with a fine second to Bullock Harbour in a Punchestown bumper and, though subsequently beaten twice, looks the type to make his mark over timber.
