In depth

Verdict

MR NOSIE returned after a five-year absence with an excellent debut run over fences behind Montan at Fairyhouse in January. He very nearly followed that with a victory at Navan earlier this month and provided he stays sound this one-time Grade 1 winning hurdler should have the beating of these. For The Staff finished four lengths in front of Dessie Hughes' charge at Fairyhouse but a previous run gave him an advantage and he's unlikely to confirm the form. Long Strand has run some decent races but would probably prefer further, a remark that also applies to Boxing Along, whose best run was over three miles at Fairyhouse. Our Gar makes his debut over fences and was in excellent form over timber at this time a year ago. He hasn't been seen since October but looks the type to make a nice chaser and Barry Geraghty was on board for both hurdling victories.
