Verdict

MIDNIGHT GAME had only half-a-length to spare over Joxer at Leopardstown last Christmas but has made much the greater progress subsequently. He'll be at short odds after reappearing with an impressive victory at Fairyhouse and though he's expected to score again it's not that clear cut as Joxer is 10lb better off. The latter had Edeymi a long way behind when runner-up to Monksland in a Down Royal Grade 2 last month though Tony Martin's youngster is much better than that and would be a threat on his cracking performance when runner-up in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham when today's rival Arnaud wasn't too far behind in fifth. Is Herself About has gained both of her victories on this track though against weaker opposition.
