Verdict

KRISTALLO made every yard to win over course and distance seven days ago and is turned out again before the handicapper has had a chance to react so he appears to hold every chance racing from the same mark. He had a hard race and only won by a head in a first time visor but is given the chance to follow up. Apache Dawn ran well when attracting support at Uttoxeter in the week and is clearly on good terms with himself; he has yet to win a race but has been placed on eleven of the twelve occasions that he's faced the starter and could make the frame again. In contrast, Tram Express has never finished in the money in eight visits to the racecourse but he may find that he's competing at a more realistic level now handicapping and the engagement of a top jockey suggests that connections may be hopeful of a big run; the market may guide. Risk Challenge has been running well in low grade contests whilst it would be no surprise to see Penyfan Dawn there or thereabouts but she hasn't always displayed great battling qualities so Kristallo is preferred.
