TARVINI finally showed some improvement for his tumble down the weights when fifth at Newton Abbot on his return from a four month absence. He should be capable of better with that run under his belt and the champion jockey is just the man to coax it out of him. He gets the nod ahead of Minstalad, a winner over fences at Kelso before finding only one too good over the larger obstacles here last time. Roses Legend had an off-day at Worcester recently but had been placed in a chase at the same track before that and can race off a lower mark over timber while On Alert has the past form to figure if back to his best.
