In depth

Verdict

The three-year-old MASTER DAN beat a horse with a higher handicap rating in a maiden over 1m4f here a fortnight ago. He scored by over four lengths so may well be up to landing this. Royal Marksell is a course and distance winner but has been well beaten over shorter trips here of late while Layline has won four times on the all-weather but all four came on the Polytrack. The remainder are all struggling for form with Bold Runner and the selection's stablemate Bushel having slipped down the weights as a consequence.
