Verdict

Goodenough Mover, St Pancras and Vienna's Boy are three against the field in a wide open finale and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection has dropped to a handy mark and ran as if about to strike form when fourth behind Welcome Stranger last time, he has conditions to suit and will be hard to beat. Goodenough Mover rates the main danger on his latest second behind Alinda but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him and for that reason he is opposed. St Pancras is another worthy of respect he was a fair third behind Pintile last time but stayed on at one pace so the drop to six furlongs is not sure to suit. Of the remainder Eisteddfod is progressing with each run and could go well at a price but this is his stiffest task to date and for the winner we return to Vienna's Boy .
