In depth

Verdict

Ameretto Son has been in good form of late but faces no easy task giving weight away here and preference is for recent Limerick winner, ROYAL BLOOD, who can follow up off a 7lb higher mark under J T McNamara with the main danger rated as My Lord Oscar. Enda Bolger's gelding has claims if coming on for his reappearance run at Roscommon nine days ago. Ted Walsh's Bishop's Lane will need to step up on the form shown here last time, while Rossbeigh is consistent but keeps finding at least one too good. Ah Ya Boy Ya is better than he showed at Gowran Park when last seen in October and any market support for him would be of interest but Royal Blood has solid claims of winning again and gets the vote.
