In depth

Verdict

MAJESTIC ZAFEEN was beaten comfortably on her Newmarket debut but shaped quite well in the closing stages to claim third spot after running green early on. The form of that contest is working out well with the winner, Misty Conquest, having gone on to land a better contest next time. The good form of the Channon juvenile team also enhances confidence. Yearbook found some form on her third outing and should maintain her progression and it would be no surprise to see Tim Easterby take the nursery route after this. Sunny Side Up and In A Jiffy represent yards in very good heart at present and could pose the main threats to the selection, with the market likely to provide an important guide to their chances.
