There are some old favourites facing the starter here and several would have leading claims if producing their best. Hitchens was only beaten half-a-length in a Listed race at Chester earlier month while Lui Rei has been running well in competitive handicaps, though was only fifth behind the back-to-form Desert Law at Ascot two weeks ago. Sirius Prospect and High Standing have been below par this term, however, and Markab and Scarf both need to step up on respective wins at Windsor and Newbury to follow up in this grade. ES QUE LOVE has been on the go since April but has plenty in his favour today and will bounce off this faster ground. If allowed to dominate, Mark Johnston's three-year-old may well be good enough. Hallelujah looks the best of the two fillies ahead of the returning Blanche Dubawi.

Markab 11-4 (9-0) Smartly away, raced on rails and made all, ridden over 1f out, pressed final furlong, kept on and always doing enough towards finish, won at Windsor 6f Listed stks 3yo (1) gf in May beating Elnawin (9-0) by 3/4l, 5 ran.
Sirius Prospect (USA) 14-1 (9-5) Reared in stalls, raced centre, held up, pushed along halfway, ridden and weakened over 2f out, 6th of 12, 12l behind Mayson (9-5) at Newmarket 6f Grp 1 (1) hvy in Jul.
