      Verdict

HABAAYIB has sound credentials and is selected accordingly but there are plenty with the potential to cause her problems including Misheer and Capercaillie. Habaayib lowered the colours of one of the stronger Irish fancies of Royal Ascot when relegating Lillie Langtry to second in the Albany and the result was gained on merit. It was a visually impressive performance and she deserves to head the market here as a result. Misheer, Ceedwell and Capercaillie were the next three home behind runaway Queen Mary winner Jealous Again when separated by 2 lengths and a nose; Crown was further adrift in eighth. All three shaped as though ready for the step up to six furlongs and are capable of making their presence felt but it's worth noting that Mark Johnston had been sufficiently impressed with his filly prior to the Royal Meeting to name her the best juvenile filly that he had trained since Attraction who won this race for him in 2003; she could well reverse the placings. Lady Darshaan and Swan Wings opened their accounts in contrasting style but both have futures and are entitled to take their places in the line-up whilst Little Scotland should improve again for the longer trip but has plenty to find in order to be considered a candidate for top honours. This has the look of one of the best renewals of this prestigious race in recent years so competition will be fierce but Habaayib deserves to wear the crown until she be headed.
