Lauderdale has an obvious opportunity to take this race at the expense of Superior Weapon. While the former has the tendency to throw in the odd howler at his fences, he took the scalp of Superior Weapon by quite some way at Hexham and it looks on the face of it to be difficult to see the form reversed. Shining Tyne is more often seen out over further than this so it is something of a surprise to see him dropped back to the minimum trip. Stormy Beech has a win at Carlisle under his belt some six months ago but his recent form has been little to write home about. Not the greatest of finales but Lauderdale should barring accidents be up to the task.
