Verdict

A large and competitive field contest this nursery which we have cut down to four with live chances, namely Heres The Plan, Mitchelland, Society Music and Brace Of Doves with the vote going to the last named. David Barron has his string in fine form and with an across the card double on Monday Brace Of Doves can continue his run. The horse has been a model of consistency of late and with a career best effort when second to Jane Jubilee at Mussleburgh last time out we feel the time has come for Brace Of Doves to break his maiden tag. On the other hand Society Music has already won twice at Pontefract and Musselburgh but looked exposed by the handicapper on her latest start at Catterick and may find one better off again today. Heres The Plan is another with winning form, winning on her debut at Newmaket. She highly tried in Listed company thereafter and that probably left a mark when beaten down the field over Seven furlongs last time out and could be best watched again today. Mitchelland is another filly worthy of mention and been running well of late and can trouble the judge for a place. But for the winner we return to Brace Of Doves.
