In depth

Verdict

Plenty of untapped potential in this finale. Paul Nicholls trained the winner three years ago and French import Vago Collonges could be anything. The well-bred Pure Science was surprisingly allowed to start at 5/1 on his debut at Warwick but won easily and looks a nice prospect while Caledonia and Killyglass already boast decent form. Seedling looks a certain improver but we'll stick with OSCAR ROCK, who is well-regarded and showed a very willing attitude to get off the mark under Rules over course and distance in November. There was no fluke about Cabaret Girl's win at Huntingdon and she may be best of the rest.
