Verdict

North Stack, due to run at Uttoxeter on Thursday night, is a decent performer at this level and makes the shortlist if turned out for the second time in 24 hours. However, now that WHISTLING SENATOR has struck form he's worth staying with. A comfortable scorer over 3m2f at Huntingdon last time after two poor efforts, a 6lb rise does not appear prohibitive and his only other success arrived at this trip. Oca De Thaix ran a fine race behind Salsify in a very hot hunter chase at Stratford last weekend and has every chance if those exertions have not taken their toll, whilst Gee Dee Nen found some better form last month, notably when a close second to O'Callaghan Strand, stablemate of the selection, at Huntingdon. He looks the main danger on that evidence.
