Verdict

MINELLA BOYS is taken to get the better of Ballycarney and Walamo. Tim Walford's 7-year-old is in good form and it would seem foolish to desert him as he bids to rack up his third win in a row. He is a thorough stayer and he looks progressive so he sets the benchmark for the others. Ballycarney is interesting as he looks as though he has been crying out for this step-up in trip. He remains unexposed and he will go on the ground, but he will need to find a fair bit of improvement to beat our selection. Walamo ran well on his handicap debut last time, but this frontrunner might not get the race run to suit and he still has to prove that this trip will suit. Dusky Lord came in for a bit of support last time out but he was a bit disappointing and once again the trip is an unknown. Minella Boys is guaranteed to stay and he can add to his winning tally.
