Verdict

Much as he has to concede the field a lot of weight, Cupid's Glory might be up to the task and gets our vote ahead of Wedding Party, Nightfall, Scrooby Baby and Lateral Thinker. The selection looks destined for good things based on his last two wins, the first of them coming over six furlongs here. He carries a penalty for his win at Chester on Saturday and, to be fair, it will not be easy giving weight away to some fair rivals, but we have followed him this far and wont desert him now. From the Godolphin camp, Nightfall looked better on his debut, when winning at Ascot, than he did last time, but, if you are prepared to forgive him that, then the extra furlong he will encounter for the first time today, might show him in a better light. Wedding Party certainly has to be feared for she looked progressive when scoring here over six furlongs last time, although she did run wide on the home bend and Scrooby Baby has also to be feared given that he is 22 pounds better off for the three lengths he finished behind the selection here over six furlongs on August 9. Of the others, Lateral Thinker was a very good second to Hypnotic, who runs on the opening race on the card today, last time and could be getting his act together but, for today, the selection is Cupid's Glory.
