ORCHARD SUPREME is taken to make the most of this drop in grade and he's preferred to Samarinda and Fazbee. A certain amount has to be taken on trust given his recent performances at Kempton and he may not be much of a price but plenty of people will be prepared to put their faith in Richard Hannon who boasts a near 25 per cent strike rate in claiming contests over the past five years. Orchard Supreme has four course wins to his name with two of them coming over this trip and it would be no surprise to see him fare better now eased in grade. He's closely matched on official figures with Samarinda who gave trouble at the start at Beverley before unseating his rider just after the gates opened. He hasn't won since the end of 2008 and has never won at a trip shorter than a mile so has more to prove than most. Fazbee has won here over six and has been given a chance at the weights so she may be able to get involved as may Ginger Grey who made the frame in a similar contest last time but preference is for Orchard Supreme.
