        Verdict

        Waterloo Dock is less exposed than most in this moderate handicap and may be able to step up on the form of his recent course second and land the spoils ahead of Mairead's Boy and Lady Sandicliffe. Mick Quinn's runner looked in need of a step up in trip as he was outpaced over seven furlongs that day; he races from the same mark this afternoon and a race of this nature should be within his scope. Mairead's Boy came as close as he ever has to scoring at Kempton when sporting a visor for the first time; he has claims if the headgear has the same effect again but a 2lb rise hasn't helped his cause. Lady Sandicliffe wasn't beaten too far in that contest and was staying on at the finish without doing enough to suggest that a win was around the corner so we return to Waterloo Dock for the selection.
