Verdict

A tricky handicap but Galant Ferns should give us a good run. Liam Kenny's mare makes her handicap debut over fences but is improving all the time and gave supporters of favourite Ordinary Man a fright at Tramore last month. Cappagh was unbeaten in three starts over fences for Philip Hobbs and makes his debut for Boots Madden after a long break. He'll be winning races soon but the concession of 22lb to FAIRWOOD MASSINI looks beyond him at this stage and Paul Carberry's mount was having his first start for three months when a fine second to Fever Pitch at Tramore last month. Stonemaster hasn't shown too much over fences so far but is very well handicapped if able to reproduce his hurdles form and must go on the short-list.
