Coventina is unexposed over this trip; and while a 5lb rise for her last time out success at Newmarket - on her debut over two miles - may not stop John Dunlop's filly, the softer surface may; so preference is for Fortune Island, who gets the vote over Winged d'Argent. The last mentioned improved every time that he was stepped up in trip last season and has to be respected although he has plenty of weight to carry. Hugh Collingridge's Hello It's Me comes here fit from the all-weather but is far from certain to stay this trip, while Cold Turkey has yet to show that he is as effective on turf as on sand. Heather Dalton's Jorobaden showed improved form over hurdles this winter and has to be respected back on the flat off what looks a fair mark but preference is for another returning from the winter game, Fortune Island. The winner of this race two years ago, Martin Pipe's gelding has to race off a 10lb higher mark this year but comes here on the back of a comfortable success over hurdles and could well have been primed for this again. The cut in the ground will hold no fears for Fortune Island, who gets the vote to win his second Queen's Prize.
