Verdict

EASTERN GIFT looks to be back at the top of his game. He won a shade cosily at Lingfield on his latest start and remains on a winning mark despite a 3lb rise in the weights. Gay Kelleway's charge has a better draw than Hill Tribe, who scored at Southwell and Wolverhampton before her recent defeat back on the Fibresand, while both of Double Carpet's course wins came over 7f and he has something to prove over today's longer trip. Florio Vincitore followed up a win at Lingfield with a good effort over C&D behind Al Aqabah three weeks ago and he could prove a bigger threat.
