In depth

Verdict

This contest is hugely competitive but Admiral Dundas is selected to overcome inexperience and a poor draw. Just the two outings to date, he showed that he had benefitted from his debut to get up close home and land a maiden at Lingfield two months ago. That event was slowly run and with today's contest likely to be a fiercely run event, that will suit and expect him to arrive late on the scene. Formation was slowly taken along last season, showing early signs of promise before belatedly breaking his maiden tag at Wolverhampton in November. He did not appear the most straight forward of characters in that contest and could be high enough in the handicap with his maiden form nothing to get overly excited about. Saying that, he is unexpsoed so improvement could be forthcoming from two to three. Hucking Hero will not lack for fitness and the race is likely to be run to suit. He has been campaigned overa variety of distances throughout the winter, from 6f to 1m 2f. Admiral Dundas is selected to overcome his inexperience and land this.
