Verdict

Rocky Creek has claims in this on his second to Road To Riches at Down Royal in November. Easter Day was still going well when falling last time in a race in which Tap Night finished third. But there are stamina concerns for both of that pair over this trip on the likely soft ground. Fox Appeal has never raced over 3m over fences and is another who might struggle to get home but Le Reve has been in good form at Sandown, though is now on a career-high mark. Bally Legend won this last year but hasn't been the same horse this season. Ardkilly Witness was only fifth 12 months ago but met trouble in-running and Richard Newland's charge could be interesting today if in the mood, though has a bit to find on the form book with a couple of these. BALLINVARRIG should be a decent price and can be forgiven his latest sixth over a trip too short at Ascot, where he finished behind Fox Appeal and Tenor Nivernais. He'd won over this course and distance earlier and trainer Tom George, who also runs Chartreux, knows what it takes to win this. Doncaster fourth Renard might interest each-way punters.
