In depth

Verdict

The presence of CONFLICTOFINTEREST appears to have scared off any of the meaningful opposition and he can land this race at the expense of Preuty Boy and Ellen Street. Paul Nicholls has been on record as suggesting that the seven-year-old has been waiting for better ground and having missed Cheltenham last week, it would be disappointing were the wait not worthwhile. Preuty Boy has to be respected from the Alan Fleming yard. The market has to be watched. Ellen Street will qualify for handicaps after today's race so may make more appeal at that particular juncture. Nothing's Easy made hard work of a recent outing at Ludlow and has to improve dramatically to win this. Abbey Dore did not handle soft going at Plumpton. Ede' The Best has failed to build upon the promise of an eyecatching debut in a bumper. It is hard to oppose Conflictofinterest and we seek not to.
